The fillings are slightly different in different countries. My family likes to make these ourselves occasionally. We would have plates of steamed turnip, bean sprouts, boiled eggs, omelette (yes 2 kinds of eggs), chinese sausage, prawns, tofu, lettuce.. topped with sweet sauce, chilli, chopped peanuts, shallots, and sometimes fried pork lard on the table. And we’ll wrap our own popiah with any ingredient we like.

Thanks chinatravels for correcting! The person labelled it as both but it looked like 刀削面 to me. Anyway, both are equally appealing :)
